Really I don't do this
What Orkney Parrots doesn’t sell. I feel this is an important question to answer. If when you realise what I am writing about you think, “I have asked about that” plenty of people have asked about the same.
I do sell vegetables for your parrots. You can find out more about them by clicking here. The name Orkney Parrots was inspired by me wanting to include Orkney [where I live] in the name of my business. Parrots as I mostly sell things in my online shop for them. There are a few exceptions [to this rule] such as Orkney Fudge.
Unfortunately there seems to be something of a growing misapprehension about what I do. When I launched Orkney Parrots [as now] my Mission was [and still is] to provide a wide variety of vegetables to all parrots. I wanted them to be easy to prepare and serve too. As well as being convenient [for their human’s] to store. In a recent blog post I give some more details expanding on the information available in our story, but nowhere have I mentioned what I am about to tell you here.
So, what is the great misapprehension?
I never thought the name Orkney Parrots could be interpreted in any other way than what it is. However I am finding out that it apparently can. I draw this conclusion as when I have asked about the great misapprehension people tell me they arrived at it because of the name. Perhaps you can let me know if you Drew the same conclusion for the same reason, in the comments. So what is it? Well some people seem to think I breed parrots. the answer is no. I do not breed parrots or have any intention to. I find these creatures absolutely fascinating and I love having the opportunity to provide them with quality nutrition. As well as a [available to pre-order] new toy line. The toys will start shipping on the 31st of March.
So in conclusion I would like to say that I am going to stick to what I'm good at. Orkney parrots is here to serve all parrots healthy vegetables. My particular expertise is in drying produce, not in producing more baby parrots. . My three ladies [Miss-Miss, Lucy and Susy] are all female too, so there will be no Junior Orkney Parrots. If you would like to see pictures of your own parrots on here though, please contact me with your photos and I may feature them in the gallery.
